Cuba concluded its participation in the rowing competitions of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with outstanding performances from Reidy Cardona and Yariulvis Cobas, but without medals.
Cardona ranked 24th in the overall standings after finishing sixth in the D final of the single scull, recording a time of 7:03.23 minutes.
For her part, Yariulvis Cobas, competing in the same event among women, achieved a commendable 27th place after finishing third in the E final, with a time of 7:57.99 minutes.
These results mark the end of Cuba's participation in Olympic rowing, highlighting the effort and dedication of its athletes in a highly competitive discipline.
However, the results are also, at a global level in the Cuban delegation, a sign of the regression that Cuban sports is experiencing, a reflection of the lack of resources and little investment in its development.
