A serious accident occurred this Monday at Loma Las Marianas, in the municipality of San Antonio del Sur, Guantanamo, leaving 23 people injured, including five children, according to reports.
The incident involved a tractor that was transporting all the personnel on board. The accident victims have various injuries classified under different codes: five of the injured are in critical condition (code red), reported journalist Miguel Reyes on Facebook.
The other injured individuals are classified as green and yellow codes, indicating less severe injuries.
The IV Congreso Polyclinic in the municipality of San Antonio del Sur announced on Facebook that they were attending to those injured in the accident.
"A total of 23 people were injured, with 4 classified as red codes, 5 as yellow, and 14 as green. Additionally, 5 of the injured are minors," the institution noted.
This Monday, a truck fell off a bridge while traveling on a road toward Berroa in Havana. Fortunately, the occupants emerged unscathed from the accident, according to eyewitnesses.
"A truck has just fallen off the bridge after the Santa Fe bridge, on the way to Berroa," reported user Ricardo Andy Blanco Noy in a post in the Facebook group "Accidents Buses & Trucks for more experience and fewer victims!"
Another accident occurred this Sunday when a modern car crashed into a bridge on the road to Camajuaní, in the province of Villa Clara, resulting in the driver suffering minor injuries.
"A little while ago, on the road to Camajuaní, just before the ascent to Loma Santa Fe, it appears that the driver veered off to the left lane and ended up against the bridge. I don't have more details," wrote the user Maykel Garateix in the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!".
