Martha, the viral Cuban grandmother, turns 79 years old.

"Thank you for adopting me as your adopted grandson and for making me feel so special. Every moment by your side has been a gift that I deeply treasure," celebrated Ariel Perdomo on social media.

Martha, the Cuban grandmother who has become a viral phenomenon on social media thanks to the funny videos with her "grandson" Ariel Ramos Perdomo, celebrated her 79th birthday this weekend.

Although Ariel could not be present in Cuba because he emigrated to the United States last May, he shared an emotional video of the celebration on Instagram along with a touching message, where he thanked Martha for her joy and mischief that have filled his days with light and laughter over the past four years.

"Happy birthday my amazing one! Today we celebrate your 79 years and I want to take this opportunity to thank you for everything you have meant in my life over the past 4 years. Your joy and mischief have filled my days with light and laughter, and I can't imagine my life without your antics and your affection...", the young person wrote on the network.

"Thank you for adopting me as your honorary grandson and for making me feel so special. Every moment by your side has been a gift that I deeply treasure. I hope this year brings you as much happiness as you have shared with me and with everyone around you. I wish you a day full of love, laughter, and all your favorite treats. You are simply amazing!" he said.

The video, in which Martha is seen enjoying her special day surrounded by family and friends, took the opportunity during her conversation with Ariel to jokingly and seriously reproach him for having moved to the United States.

"Happy birthday Martica, may you have many more"; "Ariel misses you so much"; "Congratulations to the amazing grandma, but how much she misses Ariel"; "Happy birthday"; "She can't stop reminding you that you left, that's how much she must miss you"; "Thousands of blessings for her, may God grant her good health and many more years"; "Happy birthday to that grandma loved by everyone"; "The most wonderful woman you have in your life"; "This video made me nostalgic, I wish you were with her"; "Abundant blessings for her, may God fill her with health and life"; "Congratulations to the tastiest grandma on social media and in Cuba"; "Many congratulations to the amazing grandma"; "Congratulations and blessings, may you continue to entertain us for many more years"; "May you have health and more health, Marta, we all love you," are some of the comments that flooded the post.

Just a few weeks ago, during a video call with "her grandson," Martha expressed her desire to live to be 100 years old while singing "Long live Changó!", highlighting her fighting spirit and joy for life. Ariel, always full of humor, remarked that she could easily reach 120.
