After confirming the alleged price violation, the government of Villa Clara forced vendors at an agricultural fair in the municipality of Placetas to sell their goods through compulsory sales.
The official profile Inspección Villa Clara reported on Facebook that multiple violations of product prices were detected at the agricultural fair, which led to the offenders being forced to sell their goods.
Similarly, it was stated that all vendors who violated price regulations at the agricultural fair in Placetas were fined in accordance with the provisions of Decree 30 of 2021, with a penalty amounting to 8,000 pesos.
In addition to fines, forced sales of products were implemented, and in some cases, the confiscation of goods was ordered.
Additionally, in cases that warranted it, the cancellation of projects was requested and disciplinary measures were proposed against the responsible entities.
The official profile reported that at the sales point CCS Jesús Menéndez, a quarter-pound container of chili was found being sold for 20 pesos, which led to the order for a forced sale of a sack of chili.
At the same time, at the CCS Antonio Maceo sales point, the pound of black beans was offered at 400 pesos instead of the agreed-upon 300, and the güagüí was sold at 150, when the contracted price was 80. This led to a forced sale of 54 pounds of black beans and 60 pounds of güagüí.
It was also found that a self-employed worker was selling a pound of black beans for 330 pesos, exceeding the agreed price of 300.00, and a forced sale of 60 pounds of black beans was ordered.
For the same reason, the Osvaldo Lazo Cooperative was forced to sell 120 pounds of sweet potato and 59 pounds of malanga.
In the Cuban regime's campaign against non-state economic activities, inspectors from the municipal government of Santa Clara have imposed fines and forced private businesses to sell their products due to alleged price violations.
Violations were detected in all the People's Councils of that region in Villa Clara, according to a post on the Facebook page of the Municipal Directorate of Inspectors.
In recent weeks, the authorities in Cabaiguán, Sancti Spíritus, have fined nearly 40 small and medium-sized enterprises (mipymes) and self-employed workers for violating the price caps on essential goods that the state cannot sell in the family basket.
Since Friday, July 12, inspectors have penalized 38 private economic actors, imposing fines that total over 113,000 pesos.
