An accident that occurred this Wednesday in Santiago de Cuba, involving a tourist car and a motorcycle, resulted in injuries to a military personnel who was traveling on the motorcycle.
Journalist Yosmany Mayeta reported on Facebook that the incident took place on Second Street and Escario, in the Santa Bárbara neighborhood.
According to the communicator, in the vehicle with license plate B "there was a military officer with ranks," who was taken to a hospital facility in the city.
A witness of the accident told Mayeta that the modern car did not obey the STOP sign.
"Patrol cars and motorized police quickly arrived at the scene of the incident as it involved a military member," noted the independent journalist.
The causes of the accident and the health status of the motorcycle driver are unknown, Mayeta indicated.
In the comments section, several internet users agreed that accidents frequently occur on that stretch of the street.
On Tuesday night, another accident occurred in Santiago de Cuba involving a modern car and an electric motorcycle.
The collision was reported at the intersection of Victoriano Garzón Avenue and Second Street.
The journalist Yosmany Mayeta reported on Facebook that, although the person responsible for the incident is unknown, witnesses suggest that the modern car was going against traffic.
Another accident occurred this Tuesday in Havana when an almendrón lost its brakes and collided with a motorcycle.
Lemay Scull reported in the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!" that the incident occurred at the intersection of San Agustín and Sofía, in the Párraga neighborhood, Arroyo Naranjo municipality.
