An accident that occurred this Wednesday in Santiago de Cuba, involving a tourist vehicle and a motorcycle, resulted in injuries to a soldier who was riding the motorcycle.
Journalist Yosmany Mayeta reported on Facebook that the incident took place at Second Street and Escario in the Santa Bárbara neighborhood.
According to the communicator, a military officer with ranks was aboard the vehicle with license plate B, and he was transferred to a medical facility in the city.
A witness of the accident told Mayeta that the modern car did not stop at the stop sign.
"Patrol cars and motorcycle police quickly arrived at the scene of the incident since it involved a military personnel," noted the independent journalist.
The causes of the accident and the health status of the motorcycle driver are unknown, Mayeta indicated.
In the comments section, several internet users agreed that accidents happen frequently in that stretch of the street.
On Tuesday night, another accident occurred in Santiago de Cuba involving a modern car and an electric motorcycle.
The collision was reported at the intersection of Victoriano Garzón Avenue and Second Street.

Lemay Scull reported in the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!" that the incident occurred at the intersection of San Agustín and Sofía, in the Párraga neighborhood, Arroyo Naranjo municipality.
