Cuban diver Anisley García advances to the semifinals in Paris.

The multi-champion from the Central Caribbean achieved a total score of 272.40 points to place among the best in the competition.

In a commendable performance, the Cuban Anisley García achieved on Wednesday to qualify for the semifinal stage of the three-meter springboard in diving at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The multi-Central American and Caribbean champion achieved a total score of 272.40 points to place among the best in the competition, according to journalist Eyleen Ríos on the social network X.

"La Tuti," as many call her, thus accomplished one of her goals after securing her Olympic ticket in the last weeks before the inauguration of the multi-sport event.

The other representative from the island in the qualifier, Prisis Leidys Ruiz, did not achieve the desired result, scoring 239.85 points.

With four competitive rounds remaining, the largest of the Antilles has only achieved one gold medal, won by the star Mijaín López, although today there are two options in women's wrestling and men's boxing.

Yusneylys Guzmán will be in the final of the 50 kilograms, and Erislandy Álvarez will be in the 63.5 against the star French pugilist Sofiane Oumiha.

Cuba is currently in 41st place in the medal table, with one gold and the bronze won by Arlen López in the 80 kilograms of the art of Fistiana.
