After more than four and a half years longing to hug each other again, two Cuban sisters were able to reunite in the United States, where one of them lives.
On TikTok, user @caridayanet has moved many with the video of the moment she reunites with her sister after "4 years, 7 months, 3 days, and 7 hours apart."
The young woman, named Caridad Yanet, went to the airport dressed entirely in yellow and wrapped in an American flag. In the reunion video, "Te Esperé" by Jesse & Joy plays in the background, a song widely used online for this type of content.
"At last together with my sister. Thank God and everything that exists," he wrote on the network, where congratulations and messages of support, empathy, and even nostalgia for their own family situations quickly appeared.
"I'm counting the days to give that hug to my daughter; it's been a year and a month since I last saw her." "How lovely your Oshún dress is, blessings." "I cried, how beautiful when in the end we succeeded, congratulations." "That's right, many congratulations. I also have my other half far from me, but I know we will be together soon. I have a lot of faith in Oshún and by blessing we both have her crowned along with my mom." "We, the daughters of Yalorde, find everything difficult, but believe me, we make it happen because there is no orisha more perseverant than that, blessings." "In 15 days I'll have mine here, 6 years without seeing her, blessings family," some told her.
