Yosvany Bello Roque, a Cuban who in 2023 was selling guarapo from a food truck, has taken a big step in his life by opening, together with his family, a small restaurant in Hialeah, Florida.

Journalist Javier Díaz shared on Facebook the memory of how he met Bello when he gifted him a guarapo during their first encounter.

Díaz also mentioned that, when visiting the new restaurant, he was surprised to see that he was wearing the same sweater as that first time, and although he could not accept the invitation to lunch, he did enjoy another delicious guarapo.

Despite the fact that the Cuban has not yet legalized his status in the country, he continues to strive to support his children and his new venture, the journalist noted.

This enterprising Cuban shared with Díaz that his dream of "moving forward" in the United States is to have a food truck line: "we already have three, which means we are doing quite well," he noted.

From his life in Cuba, he recalled that he worked in agriculture until one day he left for the U.S.: “which opened its doors for me and gave me a great opportunity.”

Additionally, he expressed that the first years in the United States have been very difficult, especially because he misses his family and children a lot, “but then you adapt and everything goes well.”

The story of Bello is an inspiring example of how immigrants work hard to achieve their dreams and make progress little by little.

This is the case of a couple of Cubans who emigrated to the United States and set up a small mobile stand selling guarapo in Florida.

A similar story is that of Marleny, a Cuban entrepreneur in Miami, who decided to make a living with a food truck bringing delicious tamales to anywhere in the city.

Another Cuban, also an entrepreneur, started an ice cream business, a story that served as inspiration.
