Mounir Nasraoui, father of the young FC Barcelona player Lamine Yamal, was stabbed this Wednesday in a parking lot in the Rocafonda neighborhood of Mataró.
Sources close to the investigation told the EFE agency that Nasraoui suffered injuries of varying severity and was urgently transferred to the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital in Badalona, also known as Can Ruti.
The newspaper Marca states that the prognosis is serious, and that the father of the footballer received "more than one stab wound."
The altercation, which resulted in the stabbing of Nasraoui, occurred while he was walking his dog in the mentioned neighborhood of Barcelona.
According to various media outlets, the events are being investigated but they could be related to a 'settling of scores' due to a previous fight.
Witnesses describe that the victim was confronted by several individuals, which led to a physical confrontation where Nasraoui ended up being stabbed.
According to reports, three individuals have been arrested in connection with the attack, while the police continue to investigate the motives behind the aggression and are searching for others involved in the incident.
Lamine Yamal's father lives in Mataró, in the Rocafonda neighborhood, where the European champion footballer grew up.
The young soccer player is a great lover of this neighborhood and usually makes a gesture with his hands that expresses the number "304," the last digits of the postal code for that district.
