Cubans are mobilizing to help a child who suffered severe burns on his face in a domestic accident.

The minor is hospitalized in the pediatric hospital of Matanzas, where there are no medications that he needs.

The internet user Miladys Vázquez shared the case on her Facebook wall, with photos showing the injuries on the child's face.

"Please, urgent. This little one suffered severe burns and is in critical condition. We call on the compassion of those who can provide medications, as there are none in the hospital where he is," he said.

"It is fought to prevent their respiratory and digestive tracts from becoming inflamed, so that they can eat. Nitrofurazone, Silver sulfadiazine, and Mercurochrome are needed," he detailed.

Vázquez clarified that the family resides in Cárdenas, but due to the severity of the baby, they transferred him to the hospital in the main municipality.
