The popular Cuban reggaeton artist El Micha was involved in an incident this Saturday when he was removed from a flight from Havana to Miami.
The influencer Alejandro Pérez (@cubaurbanonoticias) reported that the artist had an altercation with another Cuban passenger at the time of boarding the flight to Miami.
No details have emerged about the cause of the dispute, but the situation escalated enough for both passengers to be forced to leave the plane.
Despite the incident, El Micha fulfilled his professional commitments on Saturday. Diego Román Vizcón (@drfinance33), the reggaeton artist's manager, stated that the singer was already in Miami, in time for his performance at the nightclub PlayPen2.
The concert hall opened its doors at midnight on Saturday, and the event turned out to be a complete success, with tickets sold out.
El Micha, whose real name is Michael Sierra Miranda, has been frequently traveling between Havana and Miami for professional reasons.
In July, he was a special guest at a concert by Alexander Abreu and Havana D’ Primera at the Salsa Río Cuba restaurant in Havana. The reggaeton artist Ja Rulay was also present, with whom El Micha has shared during his recent trips to Cuba and has recorded several songs.
Just a few weeks ago, El Micha took advantage of one of his trips to the island to shoot a music video in the company of his fans and followers. In the images he has published, he can be seen in the streets of Havana, surrounded by dozens of people who were singing and dancing to the rhythm of his music.
This Friday, El Micha performed at Johnny Club, a well-known nightclub in the Cuban capital.
It was his first official concert in Havana, after several years away from the stages of the island. After that performance, he had to fly to Miami to fulfill his engagement at PlayPen2, and despite the adversities, he made it.
This Sunday, El Micha is scheduled to return to Cuba to continue with his concert agenda.
The reggaeton artist is expected to participate in the End of Summer event in Playa Santa Lucía, Camagüey, alongside Yomil. The event will take place in a venue known as El Rincón de Candita, where both artists will close the summer season with a show anticipated by many of their fans on the island.
