An unusual scene where a raccoon is perched on top of a crocodile in a river in Florida was shared on social media, highlighting how astonishing wildlife can be in this region of the United States.
The pest control company Pesky Critters shared an astonishing image on Facebook, claiming that, although it may seem unbelievable, the photograph is genuine.
“No, we have no idea how or why this raccoon decided to climb onto a crocodile,” noted Pesky Critters.
"You've heard about 'Florida Man,' now meet 'Florida Raccoon,'" joked the company, referencing the popular series of absurd headlines featuring men in Florida, while highlighting the unusual behavior of the raccoon that decided to climb on a crocodile.
Recently, trapper Todd Hardwick and his team from Pesky Critters rescued 21 baby crocodiles that were trapped in the filter of a residential pool in Miami-Dade County.
The rescue, which took place under the watchful eye of the mother crocodile, who remained about 15 feet away in a nearby canal, was successfully carried out without any issues, the company stated on Facebook.
Last May, Martin Brenner, a resident of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, never imagined—in his wildest nightmares—that he would encounter a three-meter (10-foot) alligator in the pool of his home, but that’s exactly what happened.
The unusual aspect, according to the owner of the house located in the Venetian Bay community, was the surprising way it entered: "It didn't tear anything or cause any damage, it simply pushed through the piece of protective mesh," News 6 reported.
