Police officer falls asleep on duty in Santiago de Cuba, sparking debate on social media.

A person entered the PNR station and found the on-duty officer sleeping. What do you think about this case that is generating debate on social media?

A video shared by independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta sparked laughter, criticism, and outrage on social media after showing a Cuban police officer asleep on duty at the Second Unit of the PNR in Santiago de Cuba.

The images show how a person manages to enter the unit without the officer, deeply asleep, noticing their presence.

The accumulated fatigue and the precarious living conditions that many Cuban police officers face, who are often poorly fed and visibly thin, seem to have taken a toll in this case, leaving the officer unable to fulfill his basic security duties.

The incident has sparked a debate on social media about whether it is justifiable for a police officer to fall into the arms of Morpheus during their watch, or if this behavior is unacceptable in a profession that requires maximum alertness and responsibility.

While some users have shown empathy towards the officer, others have harshly criticized the failure to fulfill his duties, reminding that the safety of the citizens cannot be compromised by a police officer's dream.

What do you think?
