Users on social media reported a collision between a Kawasaki motorcycle and a modern car on Zanja Street in Havana.
The incident occurred at noon this Thursday and apparently did not leave any seriously injured individuals, only material damage to both means of transportation, according to photos shared by user Alistair Riddell in the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!".
In the comments section of the post made in the Facebook group "Automobile Accidents in Cuba," a user noted that they were present at the time of the impact.
" gentlemen, I tell you that the motorcycle was in front of me and the car didn't see it and didn't respect the right of way. It is unfortunate that there is no road courtesy; if we all practiced it, incidents like this wouldn't happen. Be cautious, as we are on vacation," wrote the internet user.
Regarding the motorcycle driver, the internet user specified that "he was well protected and nothing serious," indicating that the injuries were not severe.
At the site, it was possible to see the presence of Cuban police agents to restrict vehicle circulation in the area.
Zanja Street is one of the busiest thoroughfares in the Cuban capital, even though it is not the most touristy or the most famous. It runs through a good part of downtown Havana, from Chinatown to the busy Infanta avenue. It intersects with other populous streets, such as Belascoaín and Galiano.
Recently, another accident occurred on the night of last Wednesday when a driver of a Cuban state truck was injured after the vehicle fell from the Santa María del Rosario bridge, located in the Havana municipality of Cotorro.
The internet user Oscar Luis Castañeda in the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!" stated that the driver of the vehicle was taken to the polyclinic for medical attention.
