A man who stole the bag from a young environmentalist who was with her companions cleaning the beach of Guanabo, in East Havana, was arrested by the Police.
According to the Facebook profile "El Cubano Fiel," associated with the Ministry of the Interior, the thief took advantage of the victim leaving the item in the sand and stole it.
The girl is one of the members of a group of environmentalists who selflessly came to work on cleaning and sanitizing the beach. During the task, she decided to set aside her bag, which contained sunscreen, her cellphone, and more than 3,000 pesos.
"Faced with such temptation, the usual hunter did not hesitate to seize the bag, without waiting for the Police to capture him and put him behind bars," the post specifies.
The workers in the area reported that the thief, whose name was not revealed, was always "hunting" in the surroundings and that on other occasions he has had problems with the authorities.
