The Cuban government says it is prepared for a second term of Donald Trump in the U.S.

Manuel Marrero assures that Cuba is prepared for a second term of Trump, focusing on internal solutions and attracting investments.

Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero stated in a recent interview with the Iranian television channel Hispan TV that the Cuban government is prepared to face a possible second term of Donald Trump in the United States.

"We already know him," said Marrero with a mischievous smile, and he stated that the regime has designed a strategy to confront a possible reelection of Trump in November 2024.

"We have our program to face a second term of Donald Trump. It is aimed at seeking internal solutions, but we are also open to foreign investment, without ceding sovereignty. We have implemented many measures to invite investors, including Cubans residing abroad who want to invest in their country," Marrero expressed.

The Prime Minister assures that these measures are part of an ongoing effort to strengthen the country's economy and that they will do so without renouncing Socialism.

"We are willing to change to the point that..." said Marrero, and immediately reacted. "We will never renounce the founding principles of the Revolution. (...) "We will constantly perfect Socialism, because times are changing and we are not afraid of changes," he pointed out.

In the midst of the current crisis on the island, the sadness and exodus of Cubans, Marrero offered an optimistic vision for the future of Cuba, projecting that in five years the country will be "in a much more favorable situation."

He attributed this optimism to the path laid out by the government, describing it as hard and difficult, but with results. To achieve the promised success, cooperation with international allies such as Venezuela, Iran, and Russia is important, despite the crises and conflicts in which these countries are involved.

"We never promised our people what we would not be able to give," said Marrero, assuring that the government will move forward "little by little" and with a "firm step," something they have not achieved in more than sixty years with absolute power.

The statements of the prime minister, also reported by the program Mesa Redonda, were made during his recent visit to Iran and Angola.

In Iran, Marrero led the Cuban delegation at the inauguration ceremony of President Masud Pezeshkian and held meetings with entrepreneurs and solidarity groups with the Cuban regime.

During his stay in Angola, he was received by local authorities and was accompanied by high-ranking Cuban officials, including the First Deputy Minister of the Armed Forces, General Ramón Espinosa Martín, and the Executive President of Corporación Antex S.A., Carlos Santiago Martínez Rodríguez.
