Leoni Torres remembers his times as a charanguero and delights his fans by singing "Ay Amor" live.

Without having rehearsed the song, his group started playing it, and Leoni, after a "let me see if I remember," began to perform it while the audience sang and danced along.

Although many years have passed since he left La Charanga Habanera, neither Leoni Torres nor his fans forget the time when he was one of the vocalists of the Cuban group.

With a successful solo career, now in Miami, the singer from Camagüey delighted his fans by singing one of the most popular songs from his time as a charanguero at one of his concerts.

"Ay Amor" is undoubtedly one of the most remembered titles of La Charanga Habanera, and at the time it made thousands of Cubans dance with the voice of Leoni Torres.

Without having rehearsed the song, his group started playing it, and Leoni, after a "let me see if I remember," began to perform it while the audience sang and danced along.

"A true artist pleases their audience; the former charanguero left years ago," is written alongside the video of this moment that the internet user Jans Delgado shared on TikTok.

Joking with the audience, Leoni acknowledged that he was 26 or 27 years old when he sang that song with the Charanga: "Gentlemen, at what moment did time pass that I am going to turn 47 years old."

"Every time I see a girl who says to me 'oh, I was your fan when I was a girl, now I have my family, I have my children, I was a fan of yours,' I think to myself, please, when did I get so old," she adds while laughing while talking to people.

While it is true that several years have passed, charanguero or not, Leoni Torres continues to win many hearts with his good music.
