The truck driver involved in the accident in Villa Clara remains in serious condition.

Forensic specialists are at the scene to clarify the events that led to the unfortunate incident.

The driver of the truck that fell from a bridge on Wednesday in the municipality of Manicaragua, in Villa Clara, remains in serious condition, according to an update on the accident announced by the official television channel Telecubanacán.

Identified as Yordanis Monteagudo, 33 years old, the report indicates that he has complications and injuries that put his life at risk after falling from a considerable height on the Arimao River bridge.

This Wednesday, the collision between a truck and a tractor on a road in Manicaragua left both drivers with serious injuries; however, Diego Herrera, the tractor driver, is out of danger.

The tractor has already been removed from the road, while a Technical Assistance team is working to move the truck that fell into the void from the bridge.

The damage to the bridge is located in seven sections of the railing, and the reconstruction of 10 to 12 meters of the structure is planned, to be carried out by the Construction Maintenance Company, stated Pedro Julio González, Provincial Director of Roads.

At the site, forensic specialists are also working to clarify the causes of this accident that occurred after 3:00 p.m. The truck is a Roman brand and belongs to the Mantenimiento Constructivo Company, while the Yunk tractor is assigned to the Tabacuba Manicaragua Company.

Photos published yesterday by the CMHW broadcaster from Villa Clara show a truck overturned on a tributary of the river and a tractor with its trailer crashed against the bridge railing. Both vehicles show severe damage, judging by the images.
