The accident was reported by independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada, who specified that the crash occurred at the intersection of Calvario and San Gerónimo streets in the heart of Santiago de Cuba, which he described as "dangerous."

According to the communicator, the injured drivers were taken to receive medical attention due to the injuries sustained.
