Immediate expulsion of four Cubans from Italy decreed.

The incident that led to the expulsion occurred in a small town in northern Italy.

Four Cuban citizens in an irregular situation were arrested and subjected to immediate expulsion from Italian territory after being caught in possession of burglary tools and narcotic substances, according to authorities from the police station in the municipality of Verbania, in northern Italy.

The incident occurred when agents from the special unit Flying Squad noticed suspicious movements inside a vehicle while conducting a routine patrol, according to local press reports citing the police report as a source.

The officers requested the occupants to stop the car, but the driver refused to comply. This triggered a brief chase that ended near the town of Feriolo, where the agents were able to stop the vehicle.

During the intervention, the police discovered that one of the occupants was trying to dispose of several objects by throwing them out of the window.

Upon inspecting the vehicle, the agents discovered that all the occupants were illegally in Italian territory and that they had criminal records for property crimes as well as for drug possession.

In addition, numerous tools commonly used for committing thefts were found in the car, as well as items suspected to have been stolen.

A subsequent analysis of the cell phones of Cubans revealed that they had used Google Maps to plan a possible route for future thefts, which increased the authorities' suspicions about their intentions.

All the objects found in the vehicle were confiscated by the police of Verbania, an Italian municipality of just 30,000 residents, the capital of the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in the Piedmont region.

Subsequently, the immigration office of the Police Headquarters of Verbania verified the legal status of the four Cubans and proceeded to issue the corresponding reports under Italy's Single Migration Law.

They were notified of a deportation order from the country with an immediate exit order.

In recent months, several Cubans have been involved in all kinds of criminal activities in Italy, where it is estimated that at least 23,000 citizens from the island reside.

Recently, a 29-year-old Cuban woman was arrested in the town of Vigevano, in the province of Pavia, Lombardy, after leaving her child, who was only a few months old, alone in the front seat of her car with the windows closed while she went to take care of some errands.
