Apple presents four models of the iPhone 16.

The four models of the iPhone 16 will be equipped with special chips designed to power a set of artificial intelligence tools that Apple hopes will turn.

Apple presented the iPhone 16 this Monday, consisting of four models differentiated by their features: two more basic ones and two more powerful ones - the Pro - which are the ones that receive the most interesting new features.

The American company has joined the trend of artificial intelligence. All four models of the iPhone 16 will be equipped with special chips designed to power a set of artificial intelligence tools that Apple hopes will help counteract the recent decline in its sales.

Apple's artificial intelligence features aim to enhance its virtual assistant Siri, making it more intelligent and versatile, automating various tedious tasks, and performing other appealing functions, such as the quick creation of custom emojis.

Apple CEO Tim Cook stated that the AI package will bring "innovations that will make a real difference in people's lives."

However, these advancements will not be available immediately when the new iPhones, priced between 800 and 1,200 dollars, hit stores on September 20.

Most of the artificial intelligence features will be available with a free update to iOS 18, the operating system that will run on the iPhone 16, which will be released between October and December.

Initially, English will be the main language, but Apple has announced that there will be an update to include other languages next year.

New cooling for the iPhone 16

Some experts believe that one of the most important innovations, which was barely mentioned during the event, is the cooling system that is incorporated for the first time in iPhones, which should represent a turning point in terms of performance and energy consumption.

Although Apple did not provide many details about this new system, it is known that the iPhone 16 will improve thermal dissipation by using materials such as graphite inside.

The internal distribution of the components has been redesigned to concentrate heat in specific areas, promising a sustained performance improvement of up to 30%. This feature is particularly relevant for users running demanding games like Genshin Impact, which iOS supports at up to 120 FPS.

In the case of the iPhone 16 Pro, the cooling technology is similar but with some differences. It also uses graphite to dissipate heat from the chip to the aluminum chassis, improved with a substructure that helps keep the device cool. Apple has indicated that this will provide a 20% improvement in sustained performance for the iPhone 16 Pro.

The new iPhone Pro: Apple's big bet

Apple has once again surprised with the launch of the new iPhone Pro, available in two versions: the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. These models, while continuing the trend of their predecessors, feature notable improvements in several aspects. In terms of size, the Pro Max reaches 6.9 inches, making it the iPhone with the largest screen to date, while the Pro remains at 6.3 inches.

Autonomy has also increased, according to Apple, thanks to an improved battery. In addition, the device's resistance is enhanced due to its titanium construction, which gives it greater durability.

However, the biggest advancement is found in its new chip. Both models are equipped with the A18 Pro, which is much more efficient than its predecessor, the A17 Pro. This processor is designed to maximize the performance of generative artificial intelligence, under the Apple Intelligence technology, and to provide a smooth experience in high-demand video games. In summary, it is a true monster in terms of power.

In the photography section, the improvements are notable. The iPhone 16 Pro features a 48 MP Fusion camera that captures images more quickly and efficiently. The wide-angle lens has also been upgraded to 48 MP, enhancing both photos and videos, which now display more vibrant and realistic colors.

The sound is not left behind either. With the addition of four new microphones that offer studio-quality and new editing tools, the audio has made a qualitative leap that will delight music professionals.

Despite the aforementioned changes that Apple introduces in its iPhone 16, there have been plenty of memes mocking the few significant differences from the iPhone 15.
