With a simple drive in the ninth inning, the Cuban-Mexican Randy Arozarena decided the game on Saturday between his team, the Seattle Mariners, and the Texas Rangers (5-4) in Major League Baseball.

Arozarena, who was traded mid-season by the Tampa Rays, had a sensational night with the decisive rocket in the final moments of the game before thousands of fans at T-Mobile Park.

According to specialized journalist Francys Romero on the social network Facebook, that was the fourth "walk-off hit" for the player from Pinar del Río since he arrived in Major League Baseball in 2019, making him the leader among players born in Cuba, tied with Adolis García.

The connection takes on spectacular dimensions when it is remembered that the Mariners are fighting for a spot in the playoffs.

At the moment, the team is 2.5 games behind the Minnesota Twins in the battle for the final wild card spot and 4.5 games behind the Houston Astros, leaders of the American League West division.
