The Cuban YouTuber Kari Sánchez Rodríguez showed her followers the splendid house of the famous baseball player Alfredo Despaigne Rodríguez in Bayamo, Granma.

The exceptional slugger, who played for nine seasons in the Japanese League, lives in the exclusive neighborhood of Nuevo Bayamo, where beautiful homes abound in a tranquil environment, free from street vendors and shouting people.

In the neighborhood, compared to Miramar, in Havana, resides a small privileged minority, many of whom are private business owners, whose standard of living is much higher than that of the majority.

The player's property is the largest in the area, with several floors and a garage with space for two cars. They constantly renovate it, expressed a resident in the area.

Despaigne, left fielder (LF) for the Granma and national teams, is part of the pre-selection of players who will represent Cuba in the Premier 12 Tournament, a key event in the international calendar this year that will begin in November.

In March of last year, 10 years after playing in an opening match of the National Baseball Series, he rejoined the Alazanes for the debut of the 62nd edition of the tournament. His last campaign of more than 50 games with them was the 2014-2015 season (he participated in 58 games).

The eastern home run hitter joined Japanese baseball in 2014 and stayed there for nine seasons (three with the Chiba Lotte Marines and six with the SoftBank Hawks).

At this moment, he is a free agent. In 2019, he revealed to ESPN that "I would like to play in the Major Leagues. I will wait until my contract is over to see what options arise. If I am eligible, I would be happy to go."
