A Cuban mother turned to social media this Wednesday in a desperate attempt to find her son, who has been missing for five days in Havana.

On the social network Facebook, the user Arletys Paredes shared the post made from the profile Damiancito Laurelio.

The Cuban Rachel Sánchez Escaleira, mother of three children, has also been missing for three days, according to reports from people close to her.

Sánchez lives in the buildings at 51 between 80 and 82, in Marianao, and her family is looking for her.

Similarly, a young Cuban asked for help through social media to locate his father, who he said has been missing since Monday.

The man is a resident of the Havana municipality of Boyeros and has been unsuccessfully sought in several hospitals.

Less than a week ago, it was reported that Celina García Álvarez, who suffered from senile dementia and diabetes, was found dead, according to family members who did not specify the location where the body was discovered.

"Unfortunately, we have found Celina García Álvarez and unfortunately, she has passed away. We thank all those people who shared the post, you are a great family, a great brotherhood, thank you my friends from the heart," shared the internet user Irelis Rodríguez on her Facebook profile.
