Which cities are Cubans from Miami moving to?

The preferred city is Cape Coral, in Lee County. "I go there daily with two or three trucks," said the owner of a moving company.

A Cuban owner of a small moving company in Miami revealed which cities in Florida his fellow countrymen are moving to.

According to the services for which it is contracted, the preferred location at the moment is Cape Coral, in Lee County. It is in this city where the most happy people in the entire state live, according to a study published by the site WalletHub.

"The city of progress, crowded, I go there daily with two or three trucks."

In second place is Naples, located in Collier County, and in third is Lehigh Acres, also in Lee, although it was noted that the latter has been filling up and people have been fleeing from it.

"It seems that it is the prices of the houses that have them excited," he pointed out.

In fourth place, according to your experience, is Ocala (Marion) and in fifth, Jacksonville (Duval).

The businessman, who identifies himself on TikTok as mudanzasmiami, said that he does not make trips outside of Florida, but that many Cubans have called him to relocate to Houston, Texas, and Kentucky.

Last January, in another video he shared on his networks, he stated that many families are leaving Miami due to the exorbitant rental prices.

"It's just that Miami is unlivable, gentleman. Honestly, I don't know how people can live here," he commented.

The man then stated that many people have had to move in with their entire family because they cannot afford rent on their own, and he wondered how those earning the minimum wage are managing to live.

Rents in Miami have increased significantly in recent years, which is causing many emigrants to settle in other places.

In July, a couple from Cuba described how their lives improved after moving from Miami to Texas, where the cost of living is lower, with their monthly expenses being approximately 2,500 dollars.

They detailed that the rent costs them 700 dollars a month, the car insurance is 96 dollars, and regarding entertainment, the maximum amount they have paid at a restaurant, including tip, is 80 dollars.

In June, a young Cuban who moved to Miami from Tampa shared the difficulties she faced, struggling to find a job and paying high rent for a studio apartment.

"Since I don't have a car, I have to walk everywhere. I live in a very expensive efficiency. Everyone tells me: 'go out, walk, so you can find a job,' but I can't find anything. When I lived in Tampa, there were jobs, and everyone told me: 'come here,' and here I am, struggling." he assured.

Another Cuban living in Kentucky revealed on her TikTok profile that she does not regret moving from Miami because there are more job opportunities in the northern United States.

"When you move, there is a lot of money involved. From a moving truck, you will also be moving cars, and you will practically be starting from scratch. When you do it, you need to weigh how much you are going to lose, how much you are going to gain, and how much you are going to invest," he explained.

"I moved four years ago and spent around 4 thousand dollars, plus transportation costs for the two cars. We were able to find work super fast at that time; they were hiring everywhere and rents were really cheap. I got a rental for 800 dollars. What they say that in the north you only work six months is a lie. You have to work every day, every month of the year. Here, with snow, rain, bad weather, you have to work, unless it's an ice storm," he clarified.

"It was worth a hundred percent what I spent on the move. Even car insurance is cheaper. Although prices have gone up, it's nothing compared to other states," he concluded.
