Cuban mother Yesenia Fernández Arango has been reported missing for a month, according to family sources and independent platforms.

Fernández, 38 years old and a resident of Pogolotti, a municipality in Marianao, Havana, has been missing since August 22, reported the Gender Observatory of the magazine Alas Tensas (OGAT) this Sunday, which issued an alert regarding the disappearance.

The note published on the social network X specified that the woman does not suffer from any illness and that her relatives have already reported her disappearance to the police. It also urged anyone with information about her to contact the number +53 53178584.

On the group "Missing in Cuba. We are your voice," a message from a family member of Fernández was shared on Saturday, requesting urgent help to locate her.

“This girl is my sister, her name is Yesenia Fernández Arango and she is missing. Please, if anyone sees her, contact us; she has a child who cries every day, please reach out to her family, we are desperate (53178584), she is from Pogolotti and is 38 years old,” wrote Mislenis Artiaga.

A notice published by Leonardo Vargas Coto on Facebook last Tuesday highlighted that Fernández is the mother of a three-year-old boy and asked people who see her to call +53 53863057.

In the comments on this last post, some individuals who identified themselves as close to Fernández's circle claimed that she left the country and is currently in Miami, a fact that has not been confirmed by other sources.

Reports of disappearances of people in Cuba have become very frequent in the past year, as almost daily, requests for help from relatives and friends circulate on social media to obtain information that allows them to locate their loved ones, due to the lack of a state channel that provides visibility to the cases.

Karildi Marín's case is one of the most notable, as the young Cuban has been missing since December 14, 2023, in Havana.

Her family still does not have "an answer from the authorities about what could have happened to her," stated her brother, Yoandri Marín, on the eve of Karildi's 25th birthday on September 14, a date that also marks exactly nine months since her disappearance.
