Cuban denounces lack of attention to his uncle injured at a clinic in Havana.

His family member spent hours waiting for transportation despite being visibly affected by the severity of the injuries.

A Cuban denounced on social media the lack of medical attention his uncle received after being injured at the 27 de Noviembre polyclinic, located in the Los Pocitos neighborhood, in the Marianao municipality, Havana.

According to the account of Jiamny Amador in a live broadcast on the social network Facebook, her relative spent hours waiting for transport to be taken to a hospital despite being visibly affected by the severity of their injuries.

In the video, Amador criticized the deterioration of healthcare services on the island and the lack of resources to address urgent cases, not ignoring the little urgency with which cases are handled despite the life of a human being being at stake.

The post has received more than a thousand comments in response to people's outrage, although this case adds to the growing complaints from Cubans about the crisis in the healthcare system, where the lack of personnel, equipment, and medicines exacerbates conditions in healthcare facilities.

On Tuesday, several parents complained about the lack of conditions in one of the rooms of the Sur Children’s Hospital, known as "La Colonia Española," in the province of Santiago de Cuba.

Parents joined together to protest after they were moved, along with the children, to another space without proper conditions.

The issue is recurrent in the mentioned province, as amidst the worsening health situation on the island, the residents of the area have reported the terrible conditions and lack of resources at the provincial hospital Saturnino Lora to handle the increasing arrival of patients.

A few weeks ago, a Cuban citizen reported the deplorable hygiene in the Mártires del 9 de Abril hospital, located in Sagua la Grande, Villa Clara.

Images sent to the CiberCuba newsroom showed an alarming picture of lack of cleanliness and maintenance in the facilities, highlighting the serious health crisis that the hospital center is facing.

Last Friday, activist Maikel Herrera Bones, who is facing a complicated health situation, reported that he had been waiting for five days for a bed in order to be transferred from the Manuel Fajardo University Clinical Surgical Hospital to the Pedro Kourí Institute of Tropical Medicine, better known as IPK, in Havana.
