Seidy La Niña says that Cuban artists who arrive in Miami with fame "have an easier time."

According to the artist, singers who start from scratch to make their way, for example in Miami as was her case, find it extremely complex to get their career off the ground.

Seidy La Niña started a debate on Instagram about "who has it easier, artists in the USA or in Cuba," to which many of her followers joined in.

According to the artist, for singers who start from scratch to make their way, for example in Miami as was her case, it is extremely complex to achieve their career taking off.

"A artist coming from Cuba has a sound on the move; here almost all producers give them opportunities. For an artist from Miami, when we go to a studio, I talk about my own lived experience, the minimum they charged me was a thousand dollars, because nobody knows you, because you have less chance, because you're just an American kid," was Seidy's first argument.

"For an artist who lives in Cuba and comes here with a bit of a name already created, it's super easy to fill a concert; for an artist like me who lives here in Miami, filling a concert is super, mega difficult, and that's some of the things I can mention as an example," the singer added.

Among their followers, opinions were divided: “Well, I'm not an artist, but everyone says it's hard here (USA), there are quite a few talents and what you say makes sense, all beginnings are tough”; “When it comes to giving concerts and recording, it's easier for those living in Cuba, but when it comes to distributing music on digital platforms and being able to collect their percentage from their music, it's harder for them”; “I am a Cuban living in Cuba and I have no sound. It's difficult as well because here they also want to charge you super expensive”; “You are absolutely right, here we struggle a lot to start from scratch without having made music in Cuba”; “It's easier from Cuba because here in Miami very few want to help you because everything is a competition and they think that if they help you, you will take away their beans.”

And you, what do you think about it?

What do you think?
