Cubans light candles for El Taiger's recovery at the Ermita de la Caridad in Miami.

Several Cubans have gone to the Ermita de la Caridad del Cobre to pray for El Taiger's recovery.

Thousands of Cubans have expressed their affection and hope for the swift recovery of the singer El Taiger, whose real name is José Manuel Carvajal Zaldívar, who suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Among the initiatives to support the artist has been the placing of candles at the Ermita de la Caridad del Cobre in Miami, a symbolic gesture that reflects the collective wish for his healing.

The influencer Dairon Cano (@dairon_cano_champions) shared a video on TikTok where, together with someone very close to El Taiger, they went to the Ermita to pray to the Virgin for the singer's recovery.

"It has moved all Cubans, and today we are here to light a little candle," the tiktoker noted.

"May he recover and leave that hospital and be with us. Greetings to you, my brother, and may God bless you," said Cano.

His companion, who identified himself as a close brotherly friend of El Taiger, also dedicated a heartfelt message: “Wishing you a speedy recovery, my brother, and never sleep. Here you have a country, a people, waiting for you. And just get out of that bed, because you are the backbone of my country.”

The influencer Cano posted another video on TikTok where he explained that he was at the Ermita de la Caridad del Cobre to express his wish for El Taiger to recover, “to be himself again and to come out of that hospital safe and sound.”

People from all over have prayed for the recovery of El Taiger, after the shooting he suffered last Thursday.

Fans of the artist in Barcelona gathered on the evening of this Sunday to pray for his recovery, while the reggaeton artist remains in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

The appointment began at 7:00 pm in the cathedral of the City of Condal, located on Pla de la Seu.

From there, candles were lit, and songs by the Cuban musician, very popular among the so-called "reparteros," were sung and danced to.

In different cities in Cuba, vigils have also been held where people have prayed for the artist's health.
