Spanish artist pays tribute to El Taiger by singing one of his biggest hits a cappella

"Thank you, my most Cuban Spanish girl; we all pray for him."

The Spanish singer dreah.oficial (@DREAH) has touched her followers on TikTok by paying homage to El Taiger, performing his hit "La Historia" a cappella and sending him an emotional message.

"Today's post is a song of hope for El Taiger, with all my best energy for him to overcome," he wrote on social media, joining the growing messages of faith from those who are hoping for a miracle for the Cuban reggaeton artist.

"As long as there is life, there is hope," Dreah concluded her post, which comes at an incredibly difficult time not only for the artist, who has been in critical condition since last Thursday after being shot in the head, but also for his loved ones and the legion of fans around the world who are hoping for the Cuban artist’s recovery.

Social media quickly filled with reactions from the followers of the Spanish singer: "You are the most Cuban Spaniard," "Thank you for singing to our Taiger," while others highlighted her powerful voice. But what truly touches hearts is the connection that Dreah has shown with Cuban culture. The artist, who has claimed to be "obsessed" with all things Cuban and its culture, has repeatedly demonstrated her love for the island and her "obsession" with Cuban traditions, as well as her passion for its unique characteristics and many other aspects of island life.

This tribute comes as El Taiger -whose real name is José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar- continues to fight for his life at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. Although strong rumors about his death circulated on social media, his legal team confirmed that he "remains medically alive," although in extremely critical condition. The Miami police are still investigating the case and have offered a reward for information regarding Damián Valdez-Galloso, a person of interest in the attack.

The Cuban music community and the followers of the reggaeton artist are keeping a close eye on his situation, eagerly awaiting new information and sending messages of support from around the world, holding on to hope for his recovery.
