In these days of sadness and mourning for the death of José Manuel Carbajal, better known as El Taiger, his songs keep playing. One of the tracks that is currently trending is "El Punto," the latest song he released alongside Oniel Bebeshito and Charly & Johayron, which is even on Billboard's Latin Digital Song Sales chart.
"The Point" surpasses 6.6 million views on YouTube just three weeks after its release, but the level of listens in the United States has positioned it at number 7 on Billboard's Latin Digital Song Sales chart, which is currently topped by the song "OMG" by Jose Iglesias: Candelita.
Upon coming across this news, Oniel Bebeshito reacted on Instagram.
"El Taiger, my brother, this one is for you. Number 7 on Billboard. From Cuba to the world, and that's it," commented the performer of "Marca Mandarina" before tagging his colleagues and producers.
Johayron also posted a story to echo this news. "José, we did it. Let's go for more! LBMA," he wrote while sharing that they are on Billboard, whose charts measure the popularity of music in the United States.
This news comes just a few days after Ernesto Losa announced that "El Punto" ranked first and ninth among the most listened to tracks within the Latin urban genre on iTunes and Apple Music.
