In the midst of the collapse of the Cuban electrical system, a young Cuban was highlighted on social media for his initiative to cook and give away caldosa to the residents of Caibarién.

A post by the user Mariam Sardiñas in the Facebook group "Revolico Caibarién ‘Los Playeros’" invites the residents of this municipality in Villa Clara to visit this young person's establishment to enjoy the delicious Cuban dish, which is especially appreciated during times of energy crisis.

"In Van Troi 2, in the same block as the market, at Carlos Rubio's kiosk, good acts of humanity continue. For everyone in need, ajiaco will be offered completely free of charge. We must continue to stand in solidarity with vulnerable people, please share so it reaches anyone who needs it," the young woman wrote in the post.

Almost 500 comments accompany the text, expressing gratitude for the good actions of this supportive Cuban.

"My greetings and respect to you, my friend, simply a wonderful gesture of kindness and humanity," "How nice it is to see this type of publication, about good deeds, far from others that dirty the networks and offer no lessons. Blessings to this kid, great gesture and great heart," "I am more than sure that many families appreciate this generous act, greetings and blessings," "Only Cubans understand this. What a gesture of humanity!" were some of the comments that could be read in the post.

His behavior contrasts with that of other Cubans who have taken advantage of the crisis to profit, such as some residents of Havana who are charging up to 200 Cuban pesos to charge a cellphone.

The same happens with a resident of Santiago who charges the same amount of money for the same service. The promotion of this burden has been rejected by the population, which has been suffering a general blackout across the island since last Friday, with no short-term solution in sight.
