Balcony collapse in Vedado leaves at least one injured.

The victim was complaining of intense pain and was unable to move on her own.

A collapse that occurred this Tuesday in El Vedado, Havana, resulted in at least one injury. An elderly man was found lying on the ground, complaining of pain and asking not to be touched.

The neighbors in the area quickly mobilized to provide assistance, but the victim complained of intense pain and was unable to move on her own.

Journalist Mario J. Penton raised a concern about the situation on his social media, stating that "Havana is falling apart and they (the government) keep stealing...".

The incident occurred when the balcony of a building in El Vedado collapsed, injuring a man who was apparently underneath it.

These collapses in the city's infrastructure were common in Old Havana and Centro Habana, but they are now reaching the famous Havana neighborhood, known for its old mansions, which are already significantly deteriorated due to a lack of maintenance.

In June, three people were injured when a balcony collapsed onto the café "El Tablazo," located on 1st Street between C and D.

According to Carlos Espinosa Betancourt, who reported the incident in the Facebook group "Maravilloso Malecón," the injured were treated at Calixto García Hospital.
