Several Cuban artists have sent messages of support following the devastating floods in Spain, which have so far resulted in over 90 deaths, the majority of them in Valencia.

"Today I join you in the pain and sorrow caused by the devastation you have had to endure. Seeing how your streets, homes, and hearts have been wounded is heartbreaking. My heart is with each of you, with the families who have lost, with the friends who support their loved ones in difficult times. Stay strong, Valencia," said the rapper Yotuel.

The comedian Ulises Toirac also expressed his solidarity with the victims of DANA (Isolated Depression at High Levels) in regions of Spain such as Valencia and Albacete.

"It is heading to Barcelona. There are several friends (Cuban and Spanish) going through this hell..." he noted.

The members of the duo Gente de Zona, who have performed several times in Valencia, expressed their condolences for the deaths.

"I am saddened by the adversities that are happening right now," expressed Alexander Delgado.

"What difficult times we are living in! First José, then Cuba without power and the daily hardships they have to endure because of that filthy dictatorship, then Guantánamo with the cyclone that destroyed what little they had, and now our brothers in Valencia, Spain facing this catastrophe," he lamented in another post.

"Much strength and my prayers are with you," said Randy Malcom.

This Wednesday, the testimony of a Cuban resident in Spain emerged, who narrowly escaped the devastation caused by the recent floods in Valencia.

José Delgado recounted that on Tuesday at 5:20 AM, when his children were taking him from Valencia to Madrid for his trip to Cuba, the first light rain began to fall.

"My children are still being held at a gas station, but they are safe and unharmed, as entry into Valencia is still not allowed," revealed José, now back in his hometown of Gibara.

"Thank God my family has not suffered any harm," he emphasized.

This Wednesday afternoon, the Integrated Operational Coordination Center of the Valencia Community raised the number of fatalities to 92 due to the intense flooding caused by the Isolated Depression at High Levels (DANA) in Spain. Additionally, there are three more deaths: two in Castilla-La Mancha and one in Andalusia.

According to Cope, 104,000 people are still without electricity and 23,700 without gas, just in the Valencia Community.

Another 1,200 people remain stranded at various points on the A-3 and A-7, and around 5,000 vehicles are blocked by flooding in the province of Valencia, reported the Civil Guard.

Rescue operations have been ongoing since Tuesday night, with emergency teams working in a challenging situation due to the collapse of numerous roads and failures in telecommunications services.

The effects of the DANA have left a trail of destruction: cars swept away by the currents, destroyed bridges, rescues carried out under extreme conditions, and material damages estimated in the millions of euros.

Social media has been flooded with images of people trying to find refuge in high places to protect themselves from the flooding.
