Randy Malcom Martínez is a Cuban percussionist, composer, singer, and music producer best known for being a member of the musical group Gente de Zona since 2013, alongside its founder Alexander Delgado. He was born on January 22, 1983, in Guanabacoa, Cuba.
Coming from a very humble and large family, Randy knew from a young age that music was his passion and would be his way of supporting his family. He has expressed his gratitude to his father for the dedication and high expectations he maintained regarding his studies. He graduated from the Alejandro García Caturla Conservatory and later from the ENA.
He was part of popular Cuban groups like Carlos Manuel y Su Clan and La Charanga Habanera, where he served as a singer for over a decade.
In March 2013, the trio Gente de Zona, consisting of Alexander Delgado, Jacob Forever (Yosdani Jacob Carmenates), and Nando Pro (Fernando Lázaro Otero Van-Caneghem), disbanded, and Alexander Delgado joined Randy Malcom.
Randy lives in Miami with his fiancée, the young Cuban Annaby Pozo, with whom he has a child born in 2015.
