A Cuban woman has touched her followers on TikTok by sharing an emotional video in which she shows the process of preparing a package to send to her family in Cuba. In the video, which has quickly gone viral, the user @yanimg30 explains that sending aid to her family on the island requires sacrifices and meticulous planning, as every product matters to those who receive it.
"It’s time and again because the numbers reflected on that board will indicate whether the assistance is more or less," she comments in the video while organizing the items included in the package. "If the help is for a Cuban mother or grandmother, coffee is something that is not up for discussion," she adds, showing how she packs some basic necessities to send, like coffee.
The TikToker describes how, while preparing the package, she faces the challenge of rationing everything: "It crushes your heart because everything has to be in small quantities to try to supply as much as possible." She also emphasizes that it's necessary to visit different stores to find the products at better prices.
"What one sends over there with sacrifice for the family is also shared with others close to them," he reflects, highlighting how the remittances not only benefit immediate family members but also those around them.
The video also highlights the emotional struggle involved in this process: "When I have the exact pounds, I have to take it out of my sight because otherwise, I'll go over," she confesses, pointing out the constant temptation to add more products to the package, despite the weight and cost restrictions.
Despite all the sacrifices, there are always criticisms and misunderstandings, something that the Cuban woman faces with resilience: "You always hear criticisms or ungratefulness, but there are many of us offering support."
In a gesture of humor and empathy, he wrote in a comment: "I know they will even repurpose the empty cans," referring to the ability of Cuban families to make the most of every resource that comes from abroad.
"We continue to be slaves to Cuba, unfortunately, as long as we have close family; in my case, my grandparents."
"I understand you, my friend. I get that way too, sometimes I can't even breathe from the anxiety. I want to send everything I have; nothing seems enough to me; the need is overwhelming." "Nothing is sufficient for us, just like you, there are no small bags available. And since everything is useful, one doesn't know what else to buy. Blessings and prosperity to continue helping." "My heart aches when I listen to and see them... I had the fortune of visiting Cuba, and I asked a friend who had been there: 'What can I bring?' I remember her words so clearly." "This is the best and most real thing I've seen on TikTok by far. Congratulations, this is the most human and genuine truth we experience as those who truly feel that our family is the greatest wealth a person can have." "I always feel bad. When I enter a store, there’s so much available for everyone, and not being able to buy for everyone breaks my heart." These are some of the comments left for this Cuban.
