Cuban reggaeton artist Mawell explained in an Instagram video that he was unable to personally deliver the donations to the victims of Hurricane Oscar in Guantánamo.

The Cuban reggaeton artist Mawell has explained to his followers the reasons why he was unable to personally deliver donations to those affected by Hurricane Oscar in the province of Guantánamo.

Through a video posted on his Instagram account, the artist explained that despite his efforts, he was unable to make direct contact with the affected individuals to deliver the collected assistance.

"Unfortunately, we were unable to attend the donation of the container. We couldn't personally deliver the donations to the victims; it just wasn't possible for us to have direct contact with them, to go to each location and hand over the donations ourselves," the singer expressed in his message.

Mawell had announced days earlier his intention to travel to Guantánamo to deliver a container full of essential resources, transported by truck, as a gesture of solidarity with the people who have lost their belongings due to the devastation of the hurricane.

In the video, Mawell explained that logistical difficulties and possibly other reasons beyond his control prevented him from being present at the time of the delivery.

However, he assured that the donations reached their destination thanks to the coordination with trusted individuals in the province, and he reiterated his commitment to helping those in need.

"Many blessings, we did everything we could to go and deliver our donations and the container we brought over there with the truck. We couldn't go or make direct contact to deliver the donations," concluded the artist.

The response from their followers has been largely one of support and recognition for their efforts, highlighting their intention to assist those affected during such a time of need.
