Aunt of Damián Valdez-Galloso, the author of the homicide of El Taiger: "If he did it, he has to pay for it."

Damián Valdez-Galloso's aunt, accused of the murder of El Taiger, is calling for justice. She admits she was wrong about his innocence and supports him facing consequences if he is guilty.

After the Miami police confirmed this week that Damián Valdez-Galloso is the perpetrator of El Taiger's murder, his aunt called for justice for the Cuban reggaeton artist.

On her YouTube channel under the name "Evelyn Sin Rival," the lady, after congratulating the police authorities for their work, said: "It is a fact, and I’ll tell you one thing— in my heart, I thought until the very last second, until the very last moment, even when I saw the news that the police had arrested him in New York, that he was involved, but not guilty (...) Honestly, I did not consider that he would go so far."

"Justice for El Taiger. If he did it, he must pay for it, and he must pay dearly, very dearly. He took the life of a person who had his daughters, his grandmother, who had family—a person who had a life," he added.

Evelyn further clarified, "It is very possible that the same family may contradict me and say, 'how can she, who has known him since he was a child, say that?' Yes, I say it, I support it, and I affirm it; if he did it, he has to pay for it. I can be very much a part of the family, and I feel it deep in my heart for the family, but if he did it, he has to pay because he also left a family behind."

The woman, who at one point requested that Damián's family not be criminalized on social media and even stated that “El Taiger brought this upon himself” and referred to him as a “criminal,” now emphasized that it is unforgivable for Damián to have taken a life.

"One has already fallen, the main one, now expect the fallout, because believe me, there’s more to come," he added, suggesting that there are more people involved in what happened.

Damián's aunt acknowledged that she was wrong to think he was innocent: “All I can do is apologize to those I offended at a certain moment while trying to show them that he might be in danger, that he was at risk. I offer my sincerest apologies; it was my heart that thought that way, and now I see it was not.”

El Taiger passed away on October 10 after spending a week in the hospital due to a gunshot wound to the head. Although the Miami Police had been searching for Damián Valdez-Galloso as a "person of interest" for weeks, his arrest last Tuesday in New York confirmed that he was responsible for the singer's murder.
