Two suspects in the murder of a Cuban in Colón, Matanzas have been arrested.

The two men were arrested days after the incident that took place on October 28.

The suspects in the murder of a 57-year-old Cuban in Colón, Matanzas, on October 28, were arrested by the police, according to sources linked to the Ministry of the Interior (MININT).

Identified as Luis Daniel Pompa Pedroso and Yordan Zulueta Rivero, the two men were arrested days after the incident, which took place on América Arias Street in the aforementioned locality, reported the Facebook profile associated with the MININT "Con Todos La Victoria," which was shared by several official Cuban profiles.

According to this source, during the operation, the suspects were found with a knife and blood-stained clothing.

The deceased, identified as Ricardo García but known as "Ñiquiñaca," was violently assaulted in the face and also stabbed several times in an attempt to steal his moped, money, and the jewelry he was wearing.

The stab wounds affected his ribs and colon, according to the digital creator known on social media as "Díaz Canel Sin Gao," who shared a WhatsApp screenshot with a testimonial from someone close to the victim.

Ricardo García was admitted to the intensive care unit at the municipal hospital of Colón "Mario Muñoz Monroy," where he was intubated and experienced clinical complications that he could not overcome.
