Amid the controversy sparked by Jorge Junior, leader of the group Los 4, requesting DNA tests from the children of the late Cuban reggaeton artist José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, known as El Taiger, Teresa, the artist's manager, has made a public statement to clarify her position.
The controversy that began with the request from Jorge Junior, the cousin of the late singer, to the mothers of the singer's four children has gained traction on social media and sparked a debate.
After Karim Sofía's mother, one of El Taiger's daughters, explained that they were all united in this struggle and rejected this demand, several people have commented on Jorge Junior's request, including a colleague of El Taiger.
Now, it is Teresa, the manager of the deceased singer, who has spoken on social media about the issue, revealing that she suggested to the mothers of the minors to get in touch with a lawyer.
"I suggested to the mothers of the girls that they hire a lawyer; in fact, I have messages to prove that I did," Teresa stated.
For Teresa, the well-being of El Taiger's children is the most important thing. “I feel that his children deserve that money because he fought for it and it's rightfully his; they are the ones he has left in this world, including their grandmother,” the manager stated, expressing empathy for the minors and her desire for the reggaeton artist's assets to benefit his children.
Regarding Jorge Junior, Teresa stated that he has a career and his own resources, so his involvement in the case would not be motivated by financial interests, although she acknowledges that he might be acting to prevent abuses. "Jorge Junior has his career, earns his money; he doesn't need anything. But I'm sure he gets upset because he doesn't want any abuse," she added.
"I tried to help as much as I could by providing information to the lawyer and working with him on what he needed to know about José," he concluded. "Other than that, I have nothing to do with it. I've already stepped back; I'm sure you have noticed that."
