Orlando Fundichely after voting in the U.S.: "The privilege of living in a non-communist country."

The popular Cuban artist exercised his right to vote in the United States and took the opportunity to criticize "the coup leaders" who keep Cuba in captivity for not allowing the Island to hold free elections.

Cuban actor Orlando Fundichely cast his early voting ballot this Sunday in the United States elections, where this Super Tuesday will determine whether the fate of the world's most powerful nation will be Republican or Democratic for the next four years. In other words, whether the next president will be Donald Trump or Kamala Harris.

The artist did not want to overlook this important moment and shared his participation in the elections on his Instagram profile, where he emphasized the significance for Cubans of being able to cast their vote in a free election, thanks to the "privilege of living in a non-communist country."

The popular actor, after casting his vote, remembered that the "coup leaders have been holding" his country hostage for 64 years. To make his stance clear, Fundichely expressed support for Javier Milei: "Long live freedom, damn it!" he wrote.

Among the many comments the post received, some express skepticism about the impartiality of the U.S. electoral system with just twenty-four hours remaining until the decisive moment. There was also a response from Argentina regarding the reference to Milei: "It's curious that you mention Milei, who has generated more poverty here in Argentina since he took office... Expensive food and services, increased insecurity, salaries that don’t suffice; the same goes for pensions... The adjustments have been paid for by the working people. In summary, we are worse off than Haiti, according to the numbers, but fortunately, we are not governed by a communist," wrote an internet user claiming to be Aymé Mariñas.

There were also those who applauded the artist. "I agree, even if I'm on this side... That's right, free to choose and free to live! Endless blessings!" wrote Loli María Pulido López.

The early voting centers in Miami-Dade closed this Sunday after an intense day in which more than half of the voters had already cast their ballots, marking a record level of participation not seen before.

A total of 539,512 people voted early in the county, of which 41.9% are Republicans, 29% are Democrats, and 26.9% are independents, according to official figures.

This November 3rd - the last day of early voting - was particularly busy at the polls, with wait times exceeding 40 minutes. It was on this Sunday that Fundichely, remembered in Cuba for his role as Suchel in the series "Su propia guerra," came to cast his vote.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump, the current Republican candidate, would receive the support of 68% of Cuban-American voters in Miami-Dade, representing “a historic high,” according to a survey conducted by Florida International University (FIU). If these figures are confirmed, we would once again see a new record of support for Trump.
