Former President Donald Trump addressed his supporters in West Palm Beach, Florida, after his victory in the 2024 presidential election was confirmed, marking a historic return to the White House.
In his speech, the Republican leader expressed deep gratitude for the support of his wife, Melania Trump, and emphasized the importance of his family in this new chapter.
"I want to thank my beautiful wife, Melania Trump, who has worked very hard," Trump said before an ecstatic crowd that gathered to celebrate his victory.
The former leader emphasized Melania's strength and commitment, describing her as a fundamental pillar in his campaign and a constant support throughout his political career.
He also took the opportunity to mention his mother-in-law, Amalija Knavs, Melania's mother, whom he described as "a great woman."
Additionally, the Republican took a few moments to express the great pride he feels for his children, describing them as “incredible” and highlighting their involvement in the campaign and their commitment to the government project.
"My children are truly special," he affirmed, referring to Ivanka, Donald Jr., Eric, Tiffany, and Barron, who played active roles in his electoral campaign. According to Trump, the collective effort of his family was a decisive factor in his return to power.
With this victory, Trump becomes one of the few presidents in the history of the United States to return to the White House after a time away from it.
His victory has been partly attributed to support in key states such as Florida and Georgia, as well as his strong presence in predominantly Latino areas like Miami-Dade. These results reflect a renewed backing for his conservative agenda and his "America First" proposal.
Trump's heartfelt address to his family and his public acknowledgment of his wife Melania and their children highlights the importance of family unity for him in this second term, during which, in his own words, he hopes to continue working to "make America great again."
