When most polling stations in the country began to close, Republican candidate Donald Trump urged his supporters to stay in the voting lines.

"Hello Republicans, we are doing very well. If you're in line, stay in line; they can't do anything about it, and we're going to win big," he stated in a message posted on X.

American schools began closing in the late evening, and so far there are reports of polling places closing in Kentucky, Vermont, and Indiana, along with preliminary election results.

According to reports, voting will close between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. in most states, while in the key "swing" states that are crucial for the elections leading to the White House, it will end between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

These entities are Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

It is important to remember that to achieve victory, the preferences of 270 delegates are needed in the Electoral College, out of a total of 538 representatives.

Schools cannot close while a voter who arrived before 8:00 PM is still in line.
