For $21 at Dollar Tree: Cuban in the U.S. shows her purchase of toiletries for Cuba

"Tell me what you think, whether it was a good purchase or if you find it pricey."

The creator Thalia_hr shared her latest purchase at Dollar Tree on TikTok, where she spent just $21 on hygiene products to send to her family in Cuba. In the video, Thalia tells her followers, “Let’s see what I bought at Dollar Tree for $21 to take to Cuba, for hygiene. I know you all like these videos, so come along.”

While showcasing the items, @thalia_hr mentions products such as sponges, a dishwashing detergent, a small Fabuloso (“the tiny bottles,” she clarifies, as it’s her favorite), four deodorants, three regular-sized toothpaste tubes, and a body wash. She also included a small bottle of Suavitel and some scent balls for the closet, which “have my closet smelling that nice fragrance.” To wrap up, she shares that she bought some glasses for her son. With all these products, Thalia encourages her followers to share their opinions on whether they think she made a good purchase or if the price seems too high to them.

The reactions from her followers were immediate: many expressed gratitude for the ideas and shared their own tips. One user commented, "In Cuba, everything is appreciated; everyone needs it, and even though not all needs are met, one always wants their family to enjoy those little things. Blessings." Another user expressed gratitude because Thalia inspired him for his first trip to the island: "Thank you, because in December I'll be making my first trip, and as a man, I don’t know much about these things, but you gave me great ideas. Blessings."

Some users expressed their desire to bring "even a little, but let them try it," while others requested to see more ideas for their own trips. Someone asked if they would be allowed to bring liquids through customs, to which Thalia responded that, on a previous trip, she hadn't had any issues. She also received suggestions on where to buy more products affordably, such as at CVS using coupons, as well as recommendations for other items that could be useful for her family in Cuba.

Among the messages, there were followers who felt inspired and commented, "Everything you buy for Cuba will be appreciated; good purchase" and "The purchase is great, I want to see more videos to get an idea of what I can bring." Others shared that they often make similar purchases and have had positive results: "Almost everything I send to Cuba, I buy there, and it works really well for me" and "I went there recently and brought a lot back with me."

With this video, Thalia_hr not only provided ideas to many followers who also want to bring products for their families on the island, but also created a support space where several users share their experiences and tips on making the most of every dollar in these essential purchases.
