The elected president of the United States, Donald Trump, asserted that the caravans of migrants seeking to enter the country are disintegrating and choosing to abandon their journey following his victory in the elections.

During a gala held on Thursday at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, Trump stated that his electoral victory and plans to implement a program of mass deportations have deterred migrants.

"Caravans that once brought together up to 35,000 people are no longer making the journey. They are disintegrating," she stated.

One of the most recent caravans, made up of about 2,500 migrants and which began its journey in southern Mexico last week, is said to have dispersed following the announcement of the election results, according to the elected president.

Trump reiterated his commitment to tightening immigration policies during his new term, promising stricter measures to prevent illegal entry into the country.

However, organizations that advocate for the rights of migrants have noted that, despite the statements made, many individuals continue to embark on the journey to the United States due to the difficult conditions in their home countries, including violence and extreme poverty.

The issue of migration remains a key focus on the agenda of the elected president and one of the demands from his supporters for the first 100 days of his administration.
