In May of this year, Alexander Otaola revealed on his YouTube program that there was a romantic relationship between actress Ana de Armas and Manuel Anido Cuesta, the son of Lis Cuesta and stepson of Miguel Díaz-Canel.
"Oh, Anita! How could you have fallen so low?" the influencer questioned, amid his usual irony and sarcasm, regarding the announcement of what he claimed would be "a bombshell of a news" once it was publicly confirmed.
"I have been told that our beloved Cuban actress from Hollywood, who spent some time in Spain and had great success there, a very lovely girl, very talented... our Marilyn Monroe, Ana de Armas, would be traveling to Cuba for a reason..." With this, the host ignited the spark of what was then gossip and is now confirmed news.
In the broadcast of his program on May 27, the now-former candidate for mayor of Miami-Dade detailed that Ana de Armas had spent ten days with Manuel Anido at a tourist facility in Cayo Santa María, an area governed by GAESA and strictly controlled by the higher authorities.
Otaola then explained that the staff attending to the couple in the bungalow had their phones taken away, and that no unauthorized individuals were allowed to approach them.
During her stay in Cayo Santamaría, Ana de Armas documented her experience on social media with photos and videos, which were likely taken by Manuel Anido himself.
“Anita de Armas found there the perfect place to seek refuge and fully embrace her current love,” Otaola noted, adding that he was unsure whether it constituted infidelity to Paul Boukadakis, the billionaire vice president of Tinder who was the actress’s boyfriend at the time, as there was never any public announcement that the couple had ended their relationship.
"It seems that this has ended, or if not, there were infidelities, because I have full confirmation from an ex of mine who, coincidentally, cleans the sargassum in Cayo Santa María... and saw that Ana de Armas is in a romantic relationship [...] with the son of Lis Cuesta," Otaola stated.
The controversial influencer stated that he was not surprised because "someone who is ambitious is always ambitious and is used to climbing... they will climb wherever they can."
"How intense, Ana de Armas! You must be doing really badly in Hollywood to come and smash this plantain," he added jokingly.
"We will continue to see her going to Cuba time and again, until this romance becomes public, at which point Anita de Armas would officially become part of the 'appointed family.' I am glad that these things happen because yes, we deserve it," she stated.
"Anita is audacious; she has no sense of morals at all... What does one more stripe on the tiger matter? When this is confirmed, it will be explosive," Otaola concluded.
This Tuesday, the new edition of the Spanish celebrity magazine ¡HOLA! has confirmed through images the romance between the Cuban actress and Díaz-Canel's stepson.
The couple was spotted walking through Madrid, dining at a fancy Italian restaurant, and even caught kissing.
Manuel Anido has a degree in Law and is allegedly working as an "advisor" to his stepfather.
The young man has been seen on several official trips alongside Díaz-Canel and his mother, including one to the Vatican and another to the United Arab Emirates.
