Cuban informal market: What are the prices for the dollar, euro, and MLC today?

What has been the behavior of currencies in Cuba in recent hours?

The currencies began the day today with no changes in their average selling values in the Cuban informal market. Until noon on November 20, the US dollar, euro, and MLC have maintained their values from the previous day.

The US dollar remains valued at 328 pesos and the euro at 345.

In the case of the freely convertible currency, after losing four pesos on Tuesday that it gained on Monday, it is today, for the second consecutive day, at 265 CUP, a selling price that has predominantly been maintained in recent months.

In the midst of the ongoing crisis that plagues the Cuban economy, foreign currency has shown an unusual stability since August.

The price stability of dollars, euros, and MLC in recent weeks—which has seen slight rises or drops—stands in stark contrast to the significant fluctuations observed in the first seven months of 2024, which were marked by sharp spikes as well as declines in prices.
