The young Cuban, Jesús David Corcho Pérez, 22 years old and a resident of Jovellanos in the province of Matanzas, has been missing since Sunday afternoon when he left his home around 4:00 p.m. riding his purple scooter.
The family has made an urgent call on social media for information about his whereabouts and has reported his disappearance to the local authorities, with no news of his location so far.
Mara Álvarez, a friend of the young man's mother, posted on Facebook that Corcho Pérez is the son of Maleybis, a local dentist, who is desperately seeking help to locate her son.
A cousin of the young man had posted pictures of the motorcycle in a previous post.
“This is my cousin Jesús David Pérez Corcho. I ask my friends and family in Jovellanos to please share this post. He has been out on his motorcycle, and we haven’t heard from him since yesterday at 4 PM,” he wrote.
He also shared detailed information about the last time he was seen, including a description of his gray coat and recent photographs.
The contact numbers available for any information are 53463825 and 54887786.
In the past year, there has been a reported increase in disappearances of individuals on the island, often linked to the decline in public safety. Without an official state channel to address these cases, families turn to social media as the only means of seeking help.
