The young Cuban Claudia Cárdenas has been missing for over three months in Ciego de Ávila, despite extensive searches by her family.
Claudia, 27 years old, has a mental disability that makes her behave like a young child; she is non-aggressive and extremely affectionate.
She was last seen in the Baraguá municipality, wearing a blue blouse and a long patterned skirt.
On Sunday, in the Facebook group "Revolico Baraguá Ciego de Ávila (R)," a close relative once again asked for the public's help in finding her.
"She has been missing for three months now, please, if anyone sees her, call this number 51111341," urged Odet Cárdenas.
"It also responds to 'little one' (as all our closest family members call it). Please, anyone who can, share this; we just want it to come back home," she pleaded.
The feminist platform Alas Tensas shared the case on its Facebook wall.
Claudia disappeared on August 7, when she left her home in the town of San Rafael, in Baraguá.
"Her mentality is that of a two-year-old. Unfortunately, she slipped away from her grandmother and has not been found yet," specified Odet Cárdenas last September.
The family reported to the police and is asking anyone who sees her to hold her and call the authorities.
Twelve days after the disappearance, Alas Tensas issued an alert regarding the case, denouncing the "inaction of the Police" regarding the search.
"The immobility of the Cuban police regarding this case of disappearance has left Claudia's family and the community as her only searchers," stated the independent platform.
