According to Vargas, that day was particularly difficult for Sofía, as in addition to not receiving the promised call, she was still waiting for the puppy that Alexander had promised her over six months ago.
“Sofi was left waiting for him to call her. He had promised her a gift he was going to bring. Six months ago, he promised her a puppy, and she has been waiting all this time. But it couldn’t happen; he couldn’t call her either. I imagine he’s busy and couldn’t. Who am I to judge him,” Vargas commented at that moment, reflecting the sadness of the little girl.
